‘Today’ Team Rallies Around Savannah Guthrie Amid Her Mother’s Disappearance
Under heartbreaking circumstances, the Today show team is standing in support of their colleague, Savannah Guthrie, after her mother, Nancy Guthrie, was reported missing in Tucson, Arizona.
According to reports confirmed on Monday, February 2, Nancy was last seen on the evening of Saturday, January 31, at her home. The news has sent shockwaves through the community, as Savannah and her family plead for help in finding her. “On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers, and messages of support,” Savannah shared in a public statement on the Today show. “Right now, our focus remains on the safe return of our dear mom. We thank law enforcement for their hard work on this case and encourage anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at 520-351-4900.”
Urgent Search Efforts Underway
Although Nancy reportedly does not suffer from any cognitive impairments, police have noted that she requires daily medication critical to her well-being. NBC News also reported that investigators discovered “concerning” signs at her home, prompting them to treat it as a potential crime scene. Authorities now believe Nancy may have been removed from her home against her will.

We believe in humanity. Above all, we believe in Him,” she wrote. “Thank you for lifting your prayers with ours for our beloved mom, our dearest Nancy, a woman of deep conviction, a good and faithful servant. Raise your prayers with us and believe with us that she will be lifted by them in this very moment.”
